Due to the widespread nature of COVID-19 and the health and safety concerns of both our patients and our employees, Sanders Court Pediatrics will be launching a TeleMedicine service beginning Monday 3/16/2020. TeleMedicine will allow our patients to schedule an appointment and video conference with a doctor-who will discuss symptoms, do a virtual exam, and provide treatment options-while keeping our patients safe in their own home. Because this option is available, either office will not see any patients with a cough, sore throat, runny nose and/or fever or who have travelled internationally or to a highly infected area within the United States in the past 14 days. If more diagnostic testing is needed (flu or strep tests), the doctor will provide more specific instructions during the video call.
In order to schedule a TeleMedicine visit, you will simply need to call the office and schedule an appointment. Using either the patient portal or the Healow app on your phone, you will log into portal and sign in to the video call, up to 30 minutes before your scheduled time. The doctor will then be able to join the call and perform the visit! Please be prompt, because if you are not available during your scheduled time, the doctor may need to ask you to reschedule your appointment.
Telemedicine visits are billable to insurance.
Both offices are going to remain open and will see well-child physicals during our normal business hours. However, we ask that if you have a well child visit scheduled and are experiencing any of the above sick symptoms or have been exposed to a known case of coronavirus, please reschedule your appointment. We will be waiving all cancelation fees during this time. This protocol will ensure that the office is as safe as possible for well-child care.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate this difficult time. Sanders Court Pediatrics wishes to continue to provide the best medical care possible to your children and families. Please call the office during normal business hours if you have further questions, or to schedule an appointment.
