3/30/2020 Update: As on 4/1/2020, the Arlington Heights office will remain closed. The Buffalo Grove office is going to be open for well-child visits for babies newborn-2 years. Based on recommendations from the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics, we encourage all babies in this age range to keep their appointments in order to receive necessary vaccinations.
In the best interest of our patients and the community, effective Wednesday March 18, 2020 through Tuesday March 31, 2020, Sanders Court Pediatrics is cancelling all office visits for patients older than 6 months of age. We are still encouraging our babies 6 months of age and younger to schedule and attend well-child exams in order to receive their vaccinations. The Arlington Heights location will be closed completely, and the Buffalo Grove office will be open 9:00-5:00 Monday through Friday and from 8:30-12:00 on Saturdays. Be assured that the Buffalo Grove office is maintaining strict cleanliness policies to protect our patients as best as we are able. If you are coming to the office for a well-child visit, we are encouraging only the patient and one caregiver to attend if possible.
If your child is sick, a doctor will be available during office hours for a TeleMedicine visit. In order to schedule a TeleMedicine visit, you will simply need to call the office and schedule an appointment. Using either the patient portal or the Healow app on your phone, you will log into portal and sign in to the video call, up to 30 minutes before your scheduled time. The doctor will then be able to join the call and perform the visit! Please be prompt, because if you are not available during your scheduled time, the doctor may need to ask you to reschedule your appointment.
Social distancing is essential in the pediatric population. We are urging asymptomatic children to stay away from grandparents, individuals over the age of 60 and immunocompromised individuals due to the highly infectious nature of COVID-19 and the potential risks to this population. To the best knowledge currently available, children are at low risk of coronavirus disease, but they can still be carriers.
Information regarding COVID-19 is frequently changing, and we want to serve our patients to the best of our ability. We will continue to update our office operations, so please check the patient portal, our website, and our Facebook page frequently for more updates and information.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate this difficult time. Sanders Court Pediatrics wishes to continue to provide the best medical care possible to your children and families. Please call the office during normal business hours if you have further questions, or to schedule an appointment.
